Loved this campground. The camp is in the middle of a coastal forest with lots of trees. This makes for no grass so it is a little dirty. the restrooms were cleaned daily. If you are looking for a 5-star resort, this is not the place. If you like rustic camping with a great staff and beautiful location, then come on down. Jeckyl Island is wonderful. Lots of history and biking. Beaches wonderful. Great for a family.
Wow. If you can get sites in the front by the beach, this is an amazing campground. Location is remote so don't plan on doing much off the island. We stayed 5 days and wanted more. The kids enjoyed the beach daily and adults found it very relaxing. Staff was wonderful.
Not a lot here but is a handy overnight stop on the way south (started near Chicago). Have ATM type of check in for late night arrival. Will definetely stop next trip south as is beats noisy Flying J's and Walmarts.
The park was clean, well maintained and extremely close to Disney. 50 amp sites are paved and level. Laundry clean and large. Pool with very comfortable water. Bathrooms recently remodeled. Only issues we had was that the 50 amp sites are very close together (our neighbors slide out encroached on our site). Our other neighbor's kids were quite loud. The 30 amp sites looked larger but not paved. Also a little pricey but we stayed during Spring Break 2008 and Ft Wilderness was full and this is the closest campground outside Disney. All in all, it is not Fort Wilderness (what is!) but is a nice second choice. If this campground were anywhere else, it would be a regular stop on our travels.
